Because it is so close, we were able to linger for a beautiful
sunset in the woods. We had such a great and relaxing time here.

Thank you both for making our "13th" wedding anniversary "very
special". The nature trail was beautiful. We saw lots of deer at
dusk. The hot tub was great. We enjoyed the beautiful cabin scenery.

The peace and quiet alone was worth the drive. The cabin and the
feeling of being at home was an added bonus. We were lucky enough to
be here during a meteor shower and the last nice (weather-wise)
week-end of the year. Can't wait to come back.
We spent the first part of our honeymoon here and it was perfect!
Everything was wonderful and I know we will not only spread the word
about this awesome hideaway to all our friends! But we will be

What a way to unwind from all the hectic activity of the season. We

After an extremely hectic holiday - we enjoyed a couple days here at
your cabin. We really had a wonderful time together her sitting in
the hot tub. We hiked through a creek bed - but mostly just relaxed
- sleeping in with no phone. This was our second visit - and we
can't wait to return.
This is a great, close getaway. Our 2nd visit was as nice as our
first. We'll be back for a 3rd.
My husband brought me here for the 10th anniversary of when we met.
He tried to keep it a secret - but couldn't. We've been other places
but none compare to this. It's like a dream place. We thoroughly
enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
Great place to spend Valentine's Day - This is our second visit our
third will be in April. For Christmas our son and his wife wanted as
their gift a night at the cabin - as we were having coffee this
morning we noticed a family of dear at least six out back. So
peaceful, so calming.
We just wanted to say thank you for letting us spend a great quiet
romantic weekend. This is a great place, the location is very nice.
It was a great time spending it alone and getting to know each other
on a whole new level. We had a great time. The place was nice and
clean. Everything you need was here. Thanks again and we will be

This was a much needed and most appreciated upside from the busy
world! The cabin truly is a hideaway. The wondering view that
changes as daylight passes into evening was wonderful. The serenity
of the forest was soathy. Walking the trail was a joy! Hours spent
in conversation by the fire, meals shared at the table, and precious
moments of intimacy are all memories to be treasured.
We've always wanted to get away from our busy schedules and hectic
life. Looking on the internet, this place sounded and looked just
what we were looking for. It has been a wonderful weekend. Your
cabins are more than we expected. We were able to enjoy this weekend
with good friends of ours in a relaxing sort of way. We really
enjoyed tackling in the hot tub and sitting around the fireplace. We
will definitely be back and we will also spread the word about your
cabins. Thank you for a perfect weekend.
I loved the cabin. It's a wonderful place to rekindle "romance"
everything was incredible!
Me and my fiancé got engaged the Sunday before Christmas and because
we are both still in college and working we haven't been able to
find the time to just be together and enjoy each other's company.
After hours and hours of searching the internet we stumbled upon
this place and decided to spend our spring break here. The place is
wonderful. Ever detail was seen to. We loved the hot tub and the
peaceful surroundings. We plan on visiting again soon.
The cabin is great! I'm addicted to the hot tub! I will be back,
soon hopefully! The peace and quite of this little Illinois
sanctuary couldn't have come at a better time I really have needed
this break from it all. See you soon!
This place was great! I loved the fact that you guys stocked the
cabin with movies, linens, and plates, silverware, etc.. It made the
stay so much more enjoyable. Thanks so much for all the things you
did to make the stay better. Hope to come back some day.
Sitting here rocking in this wonderful chair and watching the trees
swaying in the breeze pulside, I can't imagine anything or anyplace
more peaceful.
There is a little pond up the trail just past the boundary marker.
If you are quiet you will be able to see a grand old turtle. The due
up by the cabin were a pleasant surprise. What a great place. Well
worth the 600 mile trip to get here. Bill Smith Springs is a lovely
place t o hike, but be sure to bring water shoes and wear shorts,
the rocks are slippery. Thanks for a great vacation.
